Steve Lee currently provides consulting and legal services to a variety of publicly-traded and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, business development, venture capital and corporate finance.

Steve’s legal experience includes serving as outside and inside counsel for a variety of companies, including: numerous public and private business service companies in industries ranging from pharmaceutical to real estate to technology; companies in the clean energy industries, including a publicly traded comprehensive provider of energy efficiency and alternative/renewable energy solutions for small and medium-sized commercial and industrial facilities, a private 420MW photovoltaic solar energy development project in California, a publicly traded biodiesel company, and numerous private wind and solar projects.

Steve has an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions and corporate finance.  For 10 years he worked as in-house counsel to Cagan McAfee Capital Partners, a Silicon Valley-based merchant bank which launched over 10 publicly traded companies.  During his tenure as lead counsel, Steve led due diligence teams, negotiated joint ventures, acquired numerous companies, and negotiated a multitude of debt and equity investments–bringing in excess of $600 million of capital to these companies and generating in excess of $2 billion of market value.

Steve started his career at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto.  He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1999 and is admitted to practice law in California.  He received his B.A. from the University of Washington in 1996.  From 2008-2015, Steve was a member of the Stanford Law School Board of Visitors.
